Introductory: This ensemble is for students who have never played a stringed instrument and would like to learn. This group is also suited for returning strings students who wish to polish up their skills and continue improving at an appropriate, slow pace. Choose from violin, viola, cello, or double bass. Students must practice for at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. At this stage, the students learn how to hold their instrument, read music, and play beginning level songs as a cohesive ensemble. Meet Monday mornings. NO AUDITION IS REQUIRED FOR BEGINNING STRINGS.
High: This chamber ensemble is a high-level performing group. An audition is required to participate in this ensemble. Private lessons are required for this ensemble. The difficulty of the music and quick pace of the course requires consistent practicing and private instruction. Meet Wednesday mornings.
