We will be organizing our volunteers by committees this year. You can serve on as many committees as you want. It is our hope that every family will be represented on at least one committee and help out with at least one event. Please remember that every committee has both large and small jobs and jobs for working or stay at home parents.  There is a way for everyone to get involved.

  

Communication: Participate in communicating parent committee activities. This can include making posters, flyers, emails and any other form of communication that is needed.

  

Hot Lunch: Provide the opportunity for parents to purchase hot lunch for the students. Two people each day are needed to serve lunch and five people are needed to manage the program. 

Fundraising: Lead or help the effort to raise funds in a passive fashion. Passive fundraisers include but are not limited to Box Tops, Family Dinner nights, grocery store cards, School Cents, Spirit Wear, Labels for Education, Used uniform sales, used consumables sales, and others.  We will also need volunteers to take photos of the students’ artwork.

  

Classroom Liaison: Two parents per classroom will assist the teachers. This can include organizing classroom volunteers, teacher birthdays, social event volunteers, planning classroom parties, and other things the teacher may need.

Teacher Appreciation: Participate in committee to show appreciation to the Archway staff. This can include coordinating teacher appreciation week and monthly teacher luncheons.

  

Social Events: Participate in planning and organizing social events. This can include coffee mornings, Medieval Faire, Pool Party, and Fall Picnic. This committee will need people to chair each event but also need people who are willing to work together to make the event happen.

   

Logistics: Manage or assist in helping traffic to and from school run smoother.  This could include assisting with pick-up and drop-off and helping to organize carpool opportunities.

   

Cultural: Participate in developing fun activities to promote our nine core virtues: humility, integrity, friendship, perseverance, wisdom, courage, responsibility, honesty, and citizenship.
